Fundraising As A Business

Charity Partnerships

Supporting Perth Autism Support as a business is great for your CSR and also a great reason to get together with your work colleagues to have some fun. Many businesses have donated valuable skills, time and money to Perth Autism Support over the years and we appreciate every penny they have raised.

Is there a way your business can support Perth Autism Support?

If you choose Perth Autism Support as your Charity Partner, we will work with you to create a bespoke calendar of engaging events, tailored to help meet your business goals and corporate social responsibility needs.

This is a great opportunity to unite your staff behind a worthwhile cause that they can identify with and feel passionate about. We will be on hand to advise how your staff can get involved in fundraising activities, volunteering time and skills, events, challenges and more.

Your business will also benefit from developing staff skills, commercial opportunities and increased brand awareness.

Increasingly, companies are seeing the benefits of working with a charity partner for multiple years, embedding the partnership within the organisation culture to deliver mutually beneficial results with a lasting legacy.

Our Fundraiser will keep you up-to-date with your progress, and will share your successes across our social media platforms, giving your company some great PR.

Should you be interested in working in partnership with Perth Autism Support, please contact us on 01738 451081 or fundraising@perthautismsupport.org.uk or complete the contact form on the fundraising home page.

Matched Giving

There are some amazing companies out there that offer match funding. For every £1 you raise, they will match it!

Check if your company offers this, and if they don’t, why not suggest it to them – it’s a great way of promoting teamwork.

Collection Tins

Collection tins not only help us to raise vital funds, they also create awareness of our charity.

Can you place one of our snazzy purple collection tins at your place of work? Every single donation helps increase our children and young peoples’ inclusion in mainstream schools, develop and support their communication skills, and help prepare them for the move into employment and/or further or higher education.

Depending on your need, you can choose from:

  • A collection bucket which is ideal for your own fundraising events; or
  • A collection tin, designed for fixed locations in offices, shops and pub till points.

Contact us via the form on the fundraising home page or email fundraising@perthautismsupport.org.uk if you can help!

Fundraising Events

An event organised by your staff will not only benefit Perth Autism Support, it is also a great team-building exercise, and has a positive impact on employees’ motivation and confidence.

We know that organising an event to raise funds for charity may be a little daunting, but please be assured that our fundraiser will be there to support you throughout the process.

You can download a copy of our A – Z of Fundraising Ideas on the fundraising home page.

Perth Autism Support also organises their own events, please keep an eye on our social media pages for the most up-to-date information on fundraising and how you can support these events.

Payroll Giving

Have you heard of Payroll Giving?

It is a way to provide Perth Autism Support with a regular income, to allow us to plan and budget for the future and because donations are taken before tax, it means that we get more of your donation and it costs you less!!

Another benefit of Payroll giving is that we don’t have to claim Gift Aid, so there’s less admin for us – and we can concentrate on supporting you, our children and young people.

For example, if you were a 20% tax rate payer and wanted to donate £10 a month to us from your wages, it would actually cost you £8 by using Payroll Giving.  If you were in the 40% tax rate payer, the cost to you would be only £6.  That’s how cost effective it is!

What is Payroll Giving?

Payroll Giving is a scheme that enables employees to give to any UK charity straight from their gross pay (before tax is deducted), and to receive immediate tax relief. Payroll Giving has numerous benefits for businesses, including financial, aiding staff retention and improving CSR.

Employees

Your employer needs to set up and run the scheme. The amount of tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay.  A great Payroll Giving calculator slide can be found here https://www.cafonline.org/my-personal-giving/plan-your-giving/caf-give-as-you-earn

Employers

We would recommend the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) to set up a scheme but there are various other agencies who also run this tax efficient giving service.

Deductions are made each time you run payroll. The donations will be taken from your employees’ pay before tax but after National Insurance.

CAF or your chosen agency will be able to answer any questions you or your employees have about the scheme.

Costs of Running a scheme

Agencies may charge an administration fee. They usually deduct this from employees’ donations before they pass them to the charity. You can choose to pay the fee, meaning the charities will get more money.

You can deduct any costs of running the scheme from your business profits before tax.

If you want to learn more about Payroll Giving, please complete the form below and we will get back to you. Thank you for your support.
