As you all know, at Perth Autism Support, we are always looking for ways to improve our service so that we are providing the best support for your children and young people. For this reason, we have partnered up with the Early Years Inclusion Service (part of PKC Education and Children’s Services). Through this partnership, we are looking to find out what family support services and activities would be welcomed by families in Perth and Kinross for autistic children between the ages of 0-5.
Over the last two years we have seen a large increase in the number of children under the age of 5 looking to access our services. Until now, we have been unable to offer a more specialised service to meet the needs of these young people. The rising demand has shown a clear need and we want to be able to respond to this and provide the best support service possible for your family and your little one!
We are keen to talk to all parents/carers of 0-5 year old children who have a difference in their social communication needs, that may include those who are not autistic or awaiting an assessment for autism, so if you feel this is appropriate for your family these services could also be useful for you too!
To make sure that we respond to what families actually need, we need your help! Your experiences with your children and young people are invaluable when we are developing our services and we want to make sure that your views are captured in everything we do.
