New Year!

We are now back to business after our Christmas break and really looking forward to seeing what 2016 brings for PAS, celebrating our 5th year of operating in November 2016!

To kick start the year we are delighted to have had some positive funding news, with successful applications in the Scottish Governments Autism Innovation Fund, three of which will be delivered in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council and we look forward to announcing details of the new projects as they all start to take shape in the first quarter of this year.

Our Young Adult project, our School project and our Family Support project will all benefit from new services through the funding.

January also sees the very first Time For Us programme rolled out to siblings (aged 12+) of children with autism, this 6 week programme will look at what it means to have a sibling with autism, good and bad times, how to explain it to peers and dealing with day to day issues that may arise, Amy Ditchmen, our Siblings Co-ordinator will be running the programme with our Chief Executive, Angie Ferguson and the model follows the successful outline of our I Am Me programme which is now coming in to it's 4th year of running.

With I Am Me we are really excited to be working with Perth Grammar School and Blairgowrie High School to deliver the courses in house to them this year and we will also be continuing to run these in the centre for all children who attend other secondary schools in Perth & Kinross.

Our training programme for 2016 has been released and we delighted to continue to offer a wealth of courses that cover all aspects of living or working with an individual on the autism spectrum and details of all the courses we are offering can be found and booked on our Eventbrite page by clicking here

We also have a number of teacher training opportunities booked for 2016 and will be doing a number of training sessions for NHS dental teams in Perth, Dundee and Angus in the first half of the year!

We look forward to working with all our partner agencies, families and children this year!
